Success Healthcare, Boca Raton, Fla., said John Hirsch, M.D., resigned as CEO of its Forest Park Community Hospital, St. Louis. The company declined to say why he left, and Hirsch could not be reached for comment. Success Healthcare also declined to provide his age. Hirsch had a previous stint as CEO of the hospital when it was owned by Doctors Community Healthcare Corp., Scottsdale, Ariz., which later became known as Envision Hospital Corp. Hirsch and Doctors Community fell out in 2005 when Hirsch wanted to sell a majority stake in the hospital to physicians. Jim O'Keefe, who was working for the hospital as a consultant, was named interim CEO, according to a spokeswoman for Success. A national search is under way.
