Healthcare technology provider QuadraMed said it has renewed a $24 million contract with the Veterans Affairs Department for fiscal 2010. The renewal for the Reston, Va.-based company includes the term license for QuadraMed’s Encoder Product Suite—referred to as EPS—and for related training services for all VA medical centers and existing Consolidated Patient Accounting Centers, or CPACs, throughout the country.
According to the company, QuadraMed EPS is a Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture, or VistA-integrated health information management and revenue-cycle-management solution that allows VA medical centers to improve workflow in the areas of inpatient and outpatient coding, compliance, claims editing and revenue-cycle management.
Earlier this week, private equity firm Francisco Partners said it agreed to buy QuadraMed for about $126 million.
