Outside of what I think is childish rhetoric (“What a joke,” said Scott Mulhauser, spokesman for the Senate Finance Committee), the Democrats in Congress have no basis for discrediting these reports. If they did, they would respond with facts, not rhetoric. Furthermore, the American people need to ask themselves who is more credible—independent consulting firms with impeccable records and whose business survival depends on credible findings, or politicians whose job it is to get votes.
It is very disappointing that politicians, drafting a plan on something they know little about, are unwilling to listen to those who truly do know.
