I believe that reform will eventually give the government the same tools insurance companies now exercise in controlling unwarranted and duplicate expenses that Medicare now pays without question.
Reform will give gov't power to curb costs
With 98% of people covered, hospitals will no long need to shift costs. Patients will be charged supportable rates for items and services. Charges to both government and private programs will begin to decrease at a rate much faster than they have increased.
