Regarding the article “House OKs doc-pay revamp”:
So, another opposition group has been bought off. The list is growing! Didn't people used to go to jail for that? Oh, that's right, it's the government worker who had to be bribed, but reverse influence-peddling is perfectly permissible.
I have some questions: If all this healthcare reform legislation is so great, then why aren't Congress and other government employees included? Why should they—the aristocracy—have their own plan, but they can foist on us, the hoi polloi, whatever they want in their quest for greater control and dependency on government? They aren't interested in healthcare reform. They're interested in furthering their own agenda, and if something truly worthwhile comes out of it, well, that's unintended collateral damage. And why doesn't this take effect until four years from now—after the next presidential election—if it was so critical? Has the government already started cracking down on waste and cheating? We don't need to wait four years for that.
