Samuel Skinner has joined the board of directors of MedAssets.
Skinner, 71, is the retired chairman, president and CEO of transportation company USF Corp. and is the former president of Commonwealth Edison Co. An Army veteran, Skinner also served as transportation secretary and chief of staff to President George H.W. Bush. He holds a law degree from DePaul University College of Law and a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Atlanta-based MedAssets develops revenue-cycle management applications for healthcare providers.
