DaVita said that it has hired Kim Rivera to be its new general counsel. Rivera, 40, also will hold the titles of vice president and secretary for the dialysis provider, which is in the process of moving its headquarters from El Segundo, Calif., to Denver.

Rivera is leaving her post as vice president and associate general counsel for the Clorox Co., Oakland, Calif. Rivera was responsible for the company’s global compliance program, providing legal services to its international units and overseeing global employment counseling and litigation. Prior to joining Clorox, Rivera was general counsel for Milwaukee-based Rockwell Automation’s automation control and information group, as well as corporate vice president and chief litigation counsel.
