Medicare, already going bankrupt, is already paying less than cost for medical services and Medicaid pays less than Medicare. Social Security earned less money than a passbook savings account and will never survive the onslaught of baby boomers about to retire. The postal service survives only because it has no competition for mail delivery, and they can demand—and get—more for postage at the drop of a hat. Anytime the U. S. Treasury needs more money, they just print some up.
Gov't health plan would spur financial collapse
So, anyone who believes Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) that the federal government can reduce medical costs and run a government-managed program efficiently, our government also has several billion dollars worth of bank and car company stocks and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mortgages, we'd love to sell to you … cheap! The size of the federal deficit this will create is unimaginable, and the bang we'll all hear when the bubble explodes will be from the complete financial collapse of our country!
