The board of 35-bed St. Luke's Hospital, Columbus, N.C., has chosen Ken Shull as the hospital's new president and CEO. Shull, 62, will start by the end of the year. Shull is leaving his position as CEO of 24-bed Highlands-Cashiers Hospital, Highlands, N.C. He had previous experience as a hospital executive in both North Carolina and South Carolina and also spent eight years as president of the South Carolina Hospital Association.
Shull earned his bachelor's degree from Denison University, Granville, Ohio; a master of business administration degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale; and a master of hospital administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond.
