Mark Williams is leaving his role as chief financial officer of Mediware Information Systems, effective Nov. 4.
Williams, 39, will provide consulting services to the company through the end of this year and plans to pursue a new business opportunity, the company said in a news release. Williams became CFO in 2006 after joining the company as controller in 2004.
Mediware said it is conducting a nationwide search for a new CFO. The company controller, Robert Watkins, 49, will serve in the interim as principal financial and accounting officer.
Lenexa, Kan.-based Mediware develops blood- and medication-management software applications.
