Jeffrey Sunshine, M.D., was named vice president and chief medical information officer for University Hospitals, a Cleveland-based system. Sunshine, 48, has held the responsibilities on an interim basis since November 2008 and led the rollout of a $100 million electronic health-record system across the system's eight hospitals. He previously was medical director and director of enterprise clinician adoption. Sunshine will retain his positions as director of MRIs for the system and interventional neuroradiologist at 616-bed Case Medical Center. He has been on the faculty of the University Hospitals-affiliated Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine since 1996.
