Medicare Part B finished first overall despite finishing last in the area of provider credentialing.
MGMA President and CEO Willam Jessee, M.D., derided the 30-page form that providers must fill out to be credentialed under Medicare Part B. He added that the MGMA has lobbied hard for changing the process, but the CMS chooses to continue marching “with their own drummer.”
Other than credentialing, however, Jessee said MGMA members appreciate how other Medicare processes are standardized and consistent.
Everyone knows how Medicare functions, Jessee explained.
