West Tennessee Healthcare, Jackson, said that its chief information officer will add some new duties overseeing a rehabilitation center, a laboratory, food services and urology/hemodialysis. CIO Jeff Frieling will add the title vice president of hospital services to reflect his new duties. Frieling, 52, has worked for the system for 20 years, including as director of its cancer center and as a hospital administrator before he became CIO.
Frieling earned a bachelor's degree and an MBA from the University of South Alabama, Mobile, and completed the health services administrators development program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Frieling also has an associate's degree in radiation therapy.
