Hill-Rom President and CEO Peter Soderberg will retire at the end of April 2011. Soderberg has led the Batesville, Ind.-based manufacturer of patient mobility devices, hospital beds and other medical products since 2006.
Soderberg to retire as Hill-Rom CEO in 2011
A search for Soderberg's replacement is under way, according to a news release. The board plans a full review of internal and external candidates, and anticipates announcing its selection sometime in 2010.
Following the selection, Soderberg will remain with the company in the capacity of chief innovation officer reporting to the new president and CEO. The part-time advisory role will involve shaping Hill-Rom's business and product innovation initiatives.
