Six organizations have formed a new collaborative to help foster team-based healthcare in hospitals.
The Hospital Care Collaborative was formed by the: American Association of Critical Care Nurses; American Association for Respiratory Care; American Society of Health-System Pharmacists; Case Manager Society of America; Society for Social Work Leadership in Health Care; and Society of Hospital Medicine.
The collaborative will use a set of 13 common principles it established to identify and promote best practices while developing methods and tools for teams in hospitals to use in improving care.
