Regarding the article “Jury rules for hospital in patient-deportation case”:
When I read this article originally, I could not believe that they were suing the hospital. That hospital spent more than $1 million on his care and did not receive a dime. How long would he have lived if he had not been in this country? How long would he have lived if the hospital didn't care to begin with? This is a case of biting the hand that feeds you. He was in this country illegally; he never paid anything to be in this country; and in these times of healthcare reform, how many people will loose their jobs because the hospital cannot afford to keep them or how many people will not be able to get healthcare from this hospital because they cannot afford to see them for free.
