Duncan James has been named executive vice president of Reston, Va.-based healthcare IT provider QuadraMed, with the expectation that he will take over as CEO in early August, succeeding interim CEO James Peebles who has held that position since March, the company has announced. James will also have a seat on the board of directors while Peebles also will serve on the board, the company stated in a news release.
James, a McKesson Corp. executive for the past nine years, will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of QuadraMed's global sales, marketing, product management, product development and customer service, a QuadraMed news release stated. Most recently, he was the group president for the Health Systems Solutions business at McKesson Provider Technologies. James has a bachelor's degree in industrial management from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the University of Dallas. His age was unavailable at deadline.
