The National Quality Forum has put out a call for nominations for members of a prioritization steering committee that will work on a measures project that HHS has contracted with the quality agency to conduct.
NQF seeks members for steering committee
The NQF is studying evidence and measures related to 20 conditions that the CMS says accounts for more than 95% of Medicare costs. The committee will prioritize those conditions based on various criteria including cost; prevalence; gaps in measurement; efficiency; potential for quality improvement and reduced waste; and variability in care delivery. Its work will be used as the NQF continues to endorse measures related to the CMS conditions.
Nominations are due to the NQF by Aug. 3.
