Siemens Healthcare U.S. has appointed Michael Reitermann, 46, CEO, effective July 1. He will lead marketing, sales and service activities in the U.S. divisions medical imaging, therapy and healthcare information technology businesses, according to a news release.
Reitermann, who will be based at the U.S. headquarters in Malvern, Pa., will replace Heinrich Kolem, 53, who will take over as global head of Siemens Healthcares angiography, fluoroscopy and X-ray business unit, based in Forchheim, Germany.
Currently, Reitermann is CEO of Siemens molecular imaging. He has served in that position since 2002 and was responsible for implementation of the companys global molecular-imaging business strategies.
