Mike Wiltermood has been named president and CEO of 263-bed Enloe Medical Center in Chico, Calif., effective July 1.
Wiltermood has served as interim CEO since March, when Deborah Yancer left after two years at the helm. She is now chairwoman of the Division of Health Sciences and director of the nursing program at Union College in Lincoln, Neb.
Wiltermood, 50, was chief operating officer at not-for-profit Enloe for the past two years. He was executive vice president and chief operating officer of Fremont-Rideout Heal th Group in Yuba City, Calif., and CEO of Coulee (Wash.) Community Hospital.
Matthews Jackson, chair of the Enloe Medical Center board of trustees called Wiltermood a seasoned administrator who is well prepared to lead Enloe through the challenges that are at hand for healthcare.
