Freda Lewis-Hall, M.D., was named chief medical officer and senior vice president of Pfizer. Lewis-Hall will be responsible for medical, patient safety, regulatory affairs and quality assurance for the pharmaceutical giant. She worked previously for Vertex Pharmaceuticals and has held executive level positions with Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., Pharmacia and Eli Lilly and Co. Lewis-Hall holds her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and a bachelors degree from Johns Hopkins University.
