Anthony Tersigni, president and CEO of Ascension Health, St. Louis, was named vice chairman and chairman-elect of the Catholic Health Associations board of trustees at the CHA membership assembly in New Orleans. Colleen Scanlon, senior vice president of advocacy for Catholic Health Initiatives, Denver, took over as chairwoman of the board during the assembly. Scanlon replaces Lloyd Dean, president and CEO of Catholic Healthcare West, who became speaker of the CHAs next leadership assembly. Under CHA protocol, member executives are vice chairman and chairman-elect for a year, followed by a year as chairman and then a year as speaker of the assembly. The CHA declined to provide ages for the executives.
