David Cochran, M.D., was named president and CEO of Vermont Information Technology Leaders, a not-for-profit public and private partnership that operates Vermonts health-information exchange network. Cochran previously was senior vice president for strategic development at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Wellesley, Mass., and before that was the health plans associate medical director for clinical practice systems. At VITL he replaces its founder, Greg Farnum, who resigned in March to become a consultant for state and local health information technology initiatives.
