Physician search firms Medicus Partners, founded in 2001 and based in Dallas, and the MD Firm, founded in 2006 and based in Atlanta, have agreed to merge and operate under the name the Medicus Firm. No financial terms were disclosed. The new company will have a staff of about 70 including some 30 physician recruiters. The company will maintain the existing Dallas and Atlanta offices, with about 40 to 45 of the employees working in Dallas, said Jim Stone, a co-founder of Medicus Partners, and one of the four managing partners of the Medicus Firm. The other managing partners are: Bob Collins, a co-founder of Medicus Partners; and the two co-founders of the MD Firm: Steve Marsh and Kevin Perpetua.
