Eileen McPartland has been named chief operating officer for Chicago-based Allscripts-Misys Healthcare Solutions, the company announced in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
McPartland, 54, most recently served as executive vice president of global sales and services for London-based Misys, the company announcement said. Misys owns a 56.3% stake in the outstanding common stock of Chicago-based Allscripts-Misys, according to the SEC filing. Misys purchased a controlling interest in Allscripts last summer.
Before joining Misys in 2007, McPartland served as a senior vice president of North American consulting at Oracle, and before that, executive vice president at SAP America. She takes over the COO duties from Allscripts-Misys President Lee Shapiro, who also has served as interim COO since October 2008. Shapiro will continue as company president, the statement said.
