While there may need to be some reform of the current system, there are several important issues which need to be addressed in order to assure that there are providers to care for the sick and injured otherwise the entire process could be a house of cards.
First of all, when the simple concept of making your health insurance portable was passed by Congress, why did it take 1,600 pages of bureaucratic regulations for the enactment of this simple concept? No one should divulge patient confidential information but 1,600 pages? How many pages do you think a national healthcare reform act would entail? Perhaps those that want to protect our nations forest should be opposed simply on the amount of paper it will require and the number of trees that will need to be harvested to produce the paper.
Productivity needs to be encouraged and when did being entrepreneurial become a four-letter word? Why when physicians, hospitals and other providers look to increase their productivity and improve the process of caring for patients, do they get penalized?
