The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality awarded a $1.8 million, 20-month contract to the Health Research & Educational Trust, or HRET, to develop methods for implementing AHRQ products and tools.
HRET, an affiliate of the American Hospital Association, will work with the AHA, state hospital associations, quality improvement organizations and other experts in providing free assistance through the project, which begins June 1. The goal is to encourage hospitals, health systems and policymakers to implement safety and quality products and tools that have been developed by the federal quality agency but have not been put into practice on a broad scale in the industry.
