Regarding the article Obama hails industry groups cost-cutting plans:
Currently there is no mechanism to achieve what the several groups suggested they would support.
And, there can be little doubt that cost control is absolutely necessary. There can be little doubt that reform is needed. But, real solutions take time and require meaningful input from the physicians and industries in the trenches.
But, given the administrations track record and styleessentially dismissing an auto industry CEO, coercing bondholders, berating investment companies, pressuring investors, threatening to reduce funds flowing to California because of that state governments attempt to reduce certain jobs, suggesting pay scales for financial related corporations employees, declaring that everything is an emergencycan you imagine what they have in mind for physicians and healthcare-related companies?
