Banner Health, Phoenix, announced it would build a $90 million cancer center in partnership with University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center on the campus of 176-bed Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, Ariz.
Banner teams with Anderson, plans cancer center
Construction on the Banner M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, to be funded with bonds issued by 19-hospital Banner, is expected to begin this year or in 2010. Plans call for a 120,000-square-foot outpatient center supported by 76 patient beds in Gateway Medical Center, according to a written statement.
