William Kerr, a primary-care physician, was named chief medical officer of CareCentrix, which also named two other executives to its senior leadership.
Kerr, 42, will be responsible for clinical programs, operations and quality management for the company. He served previously as CMO for WellCare Health Plans and has been CMO for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida and medical director at Independence Blue Cross. Kerr holds a medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and an MBA from the University of Houston. In addition, Robert LaGalia, 38, is chief growth officer, and Alison Gilligan, 48, is chief counsel for the company.
East Hartford, Conn.-based CareCentrix provides home healthcare management services, including management of nursing, infusion and respiratory services, and durable medical equipment.
