Edward Scholl has retired after 24 years as vice president of finance for Jackson Hospital, Montgomery, Ala., the hospital announced. Larry Sherbett, the hospitals controller, has been named interim vice president of finance and interim head of Jackson Clinic, effective immediately, a Jackson Hospital spokesman said.
Scholl, who also acted as head of the Jackson Clinic, the hospitals primary-care practices, oversaw financing of the hospitals late-1990s expansion and the 2008 construction of surgery and imaging centers, according to a hospital statement.
Don Henderson, Jackson Hospitals president and CEO said in the statement: Eds fiscal acumen is of a rare caliber. His commitment to Jackson Hospital and to the community is to be commended. Neither Scholls nor Sherbetts ages were released.
