The Georgia Human Resources Department's Public Health Division launched an online health and wellness resource.
Working in collaboration with Somerset, N.J.-based Longitude Health, the department will offer health assessments, screenings, and information and risk factors on chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes and obesity with a focus on improving cardiovascular health. The program, which uses Longitude Healths MyHealthVillage.com portal, is being rolled out in eight counties throughout the state.
The state is offering the program free to select work sites that apply through the public health division. Employees of companies that enroll in the program can participate without out-of-pocket costs as well.
