Passport Health Communications named Scott MacKenzie as CEO to replace Jim Lackey, who will remain as chairman of the board.
MacKenzie, 45, was president of RelayHealth Pharmacy Solutions, which was bought by McKesson Corp. in 2006. He also has served in Cerner Corp. as vice president and general manager of providing care and in other information technology roles with AT&T, EDS and General Electric Co. MacKenzie holds an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Lackey, 57, said in a written statement he will oversee the transition and lead the boards ongoing direction for the company.
Franklin, Tenn.-based Passport develops administrative, clinical and financial applications for the healthcare industry.
