Electronic health-record developer eClinicalWorks announced details of its new partnership with computer manufacturer Dell and Sams Club to sell hardware, software and services through the warehouse retail chains locations.
Under the plan, eClinicalWorks EHR package will be sold through a software-as-a-service, Web-based model. Dell will provide hardware and site assessment, technical setup and training. The eClinicalWorks package includes project management, data support and decision-support tools.
The packagestargeting solo and small-physician practices with prices for one package starting under $25,000 and additional packages under $10,000is available now in Georgia, Illinois and Virginia as part of a phased implementation. The company said in a news release it expects the product to be available to physicians nationwide this year.
