Lori Evans stepped down after two years as deputy commissioner for health information technology transformation at the New York Department of Health, effective March 20.
Were sorry to see her go, said Claudia Hutton, a health department spokeswoman. We hope for her continued future success. Hutton said Evans did an excellent job positioning the state to compete for economic stimulus money targeted for health IT. The health department is expected to name Evans successor soon, Hutton said.
Evans, who was recognized by Modern Healthcare in its 2007 Up & Comers awards program, said in an e-mail that her departure was planned, and she was "ready for an even broader platform."
