Sharon OKeefe was named president of 507-bed Loyola University Hospital in Maywood, Ill., effective April 27. OKeefe, 57, started her career at Loyola as a critical care nurse in 1974 and returns to the hospital from 1,087-bed Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, where she has been chief operating officer since 2002. As president of Loyola University Hospital she assumes responsibilities from Daniel Post, Loyola University Health Systems senior vice president of ambulatory services, who served as interim COO at the hospital since the fall of 2008.
