The number of North Carolina doctors using electronic prescribing doubled during the last quarter to more than 2,000, in part because of one-time $1,000 incentives Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina offered to doctors statewide who agreed to submit e-prescriptions for at least 20 patients, according to the insurer.
