Medical-device manufacturer Mindray Medical International, Shenzhen, China, has appointed Ronald Ede chief financial officer effective May 1, according to a news release.
Ede, whose age was unavailable at deadline, will replace Joyce Hsu, who is stepping down to pursue other interests. Ede has served on the board of Mindraywhich manufactures patient-monitoring, life-support, diagnostic and medical-imaging equipmentsince September 2006. In June 2008 he took on a management position, becoming group vice president of international operations for the devicemaker.
Hsu will stay on as a Mindray board member, and will replace Ede on the compensation, nominations and corporate-governance committees.
