In response to the Modern Physician reader poll: "The $787 billion stimulus bill signed into law on Feb. 17 by President Barack Obama includes $1.1 billion in funding for so-called "comparative effectiveness" research. How do you think that research ultimately will affect physicians financially?"
Even if the multi-billion dollar package helps in the short-term (which I doubt), it will definitely hurt long-term in paying this off.
My feeling is the only real stimulus results will be that some politicians and friends of politicians will get rich and the rest of us will have to pay the bill.
