Mercury Computer Systems announced it sold a wholly owned subsidiary to Pro Medicus for an undisclosed amount.
Selling the subsidary, Visage Imaging, is part of Mercury Computers goal of shedding noncore business by the end of fiscal 2009, the company said in a news release. The Chelmsford, Mass.-based company provides data-capture software and technology for various industries. The Visage Imaging business, based in Carlsbad, Calif., is focused on imaging and communication systems for the healthcare industry.
Pro Medicus, Victoria, Australia, said it purchased Visage from its cash reserves and will use the company to help expand its presence in Europe and North America.
