Cindy Boily has been named chief nursing officer for Broward General Medical Center, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., hospital owned by one of the nations largest public healthcare systems.
Boily, whose age was not provided, will provide clinical leadership and administrative direction for patient care and nursing services, according to a news release. Her role will also focus on professional practice, clinical outcomes, human-resources management, financial performance, customer satisfaction and marketing.
The hospital is one of four owned by Broward Health, the nations seventh-largest public healthcare system in 2007 as measured by the number of staffed beds.
Boily has more than 28 years of experience, most recently with Lee Memorial Health System, the sixth-largest public system in 2007, where she served as senior vice president for patient care for two of the systems hospitals in Fort Myers, Fla.
