In response to Gregg Blesch’s “UnitedHealth Group agrees to settle lawsuit with AMA”:
This is just another episode regarding this provider. UnitedHealth Group should be monitored for compliance to their contracts. How about the $300 million they awarded a medical director when he retired? If memory serves me correctly, I believe given the publicity surrounding the payout, the company did return some or all of the money.

RetiredParadise Valley, Ariz.Settlements are part of UnitedHealth's business plan. Do the math. If I can make $1 billion and only have to pay $250 million in fines, I make $750 million. Until these settlements are made larger or combined with significant Federal Trade Commission fines/penalties, this pattern will continue.
