Kaiser Permanente announced it is sponsoring the Institute for Healthcare Improvements latest education initiative.
The insurer is providing $750,000 over three years to support the IHIs Open School for Health Professions, an online education module started last September. Currently, 9,000 students worldwide are registered for classes, according to the IHI. Some 55 student chapters that support the open school exist on medical school campuses across the U.S. as well, the IHI has said. -- by Jean DerGurahian
