Health Care Service Corp. has closed on its acquisition of TMG Health, a business-process outsourcing company for 2.4 million Medicare, Medicaid and group retiree health plan members.
TMG Health founder Jack Tighe remains president and chief executive officer. TMG Health, based in King of Prussia, Pa., will continue to serve its health plan clients and maintain its own brand identity, HCSC said in a release. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. HCSC is based in Chicago and has more than 12 million members in Blues plans in Illinois, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. -- by Rebecca Vesely
