Patricia Hemingway Hall was named chief executive officer of Health Care Service Corp., effective Nov. 1. Hemingway Hall, 55, has served for the past year as president and COO of HCSC, which operates Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans in Illinois, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma. Hemingway Hall remains as president and replaces Raymond McCaskey, 65, who is retiring from HCSC after 32 years.
Hemingway Hall, who began her career as an ICU nurse, has been with HCSC for the past 15 years. Prior to being named president, Hemingway Hall was executive vice president of internal operations. Not-for-profit HCSC, based in Chicago, has more than 12 million members. -- by Rebecca Vesely
