J.P Fingado has been named president and chief executive officer at API Software, Hartford, Wis., positions he will assume after the closing of the sale of API to Francisco Partners, a San Francisco venture capital firm, the company announced.
The closing is expected within 30 days, according to a news release. API develops software for healthcare business uses, including payroll, staffing and scheduling, educational tracking and access control.
Fingado, 40, previously served as president and chief operating officer of Dynamic Healthcare Technologies, which was acquired by Cerner Corp., Kansas City, in 2001, where Fingado worked for six years in various positions in sales, operations and research and development, the statement said. He replaces API founder and CEO Luis Garcia, 58.
