David Miller is leaving a vice president position at United Hospital, St. Paul, to become president of River Falls (Wis.) Area Hospital.
Both hospitals are owned by Allina Hospitals & Clinics, of Minneapolis, although the River Falls facility is the 11-hospital networks only property outside of Minnesota.
Miller has worked for the not-for-profit network in various capacities for 22 years, including the past four months as interim president at the 25-bed acute care hospital in River Falls. He replaces former President Randy Farrow. Miller was previously vice president of operations at 449-bed United Hospital, Allina spokesman David Kanihan said.
Millers "focus on serving patients and their families, and working with physicians and employees fit well with River Falls Area Hospitals tradition of excellence, Allina Chief Operating Officer Ken Paulus said in a news release. -- by Joe Carlson
