Turnaround management firm Healthcare Management Partners has added three new executives, including managing director Bruce Buchanan.
Buchanan, 58, formerly served as chief executive officer of Phoenix Baptist Hospital, which he left immediately before joining the Philadelphia-based management consulting firm. A news release said Buchanan helped turn around Phoenix distressed 215-bed teaching hospital by reducing operating costs and improving quality of care.
Also taking new positions at HMP are Rajan Grover and Randolph Harrison.
Grover, 33, is becoming the clinical operations transformation leader after initially joining HMP as a senior director. He formerly worked at healthcare consulting firm ACS Healthcare Solutions. Harrison, 53, is becoming a senior director at HMP after serving as chief financial officer of 198-bed Memorial Medical Center, Las Crusas, N.M.
