Minnesota Heart Clinic, an independent cardiology group in Edina, sold its assets to seven-hospital Fairview Health Services, Minneapolis. Meanwhile, its 19 physicians, nurses and allied health professionals joined the University of Minnesota Physicians, an independent Minneapolis-based multispecialty group affiliated with Fairview. Terms of the transactions, effective Oct. 1, were not disclosed, said Fairview spokesman Ryan Davenport. The deal brings to 42 the number of doctors in the University of Minnesota Physicians cardiology practice. Fairview hired the Minnesota Heart Clinic's imaging, billing and coding staff, Davenport said.
