Nominations are now being accepted for Modern Healthcares 2009 Trustee of the Year competition. The awards, co-sponsored by executive search firm Witt/Kieffer, honor two outstanding trustees for their contributions to healthcare governance, one award for small healthcare organizationsthose with fewer than 250 beds or less than $75 million in annual revenueand another award for larger organizations.
Per editorial policy, sponsors are not involved in the judging or determination of award recipients.
To make a nomination, send Modern Healthcare a letter no longer than five pages detailing the persons background and accomplishments in his or her role as a healthcare trustee. Letters also should include the number of years the trustee has been on the board; the name of the healthcare organizations chief executive officer; the organizations number of staffed beds, if applicable; and 2007 total revenue; as well as contact information.
